The Data Quality Network would like to acknowledge outstanding contributions to the quality of data within Pennsylvania schools. Any staff member of a K-12 PIMS reporting entity who has exhibited leadership in the area of PIMS Administration or Data Governance is eligible to be nominated for the Data Quality Network Data Governance Award of Excellence.

The Data Quality Network Data Governance Award of Excellence will be presented to honor a member of a data governance team who has exhibited dedication, leadership, and commitment to the establishment and growth of data governance either within their organization or on a regional or statewide scale. The successful candidate will have attended Data Quality Network meetings on a regular basis and must be present at the PDE Data Summit (March 2024) to receive the award.

Nominations for the 2024 Data Governance Award of Excellence will be opened in the fall of 2023 and may be submitted by a coworker or someone outside of the nominee’s organization. Intermediate Unit Data Governance Points-of-Contact are ineligible for nomination, however, IU Points-of-Contact may submit a nomination for this recognition. Nominees could be a PIMS Administrator or member of the Data Governance Team such as the PennData Manager, Child Accounting Coordinator, etc. who has been a key member of their team in establishing best practices in data governance and reporting.

Award Objectives:

Acknowledge outstanding contributions to the quality of data in Pennsylvania schools.

Honor dedication and commitment to the establishment and growth of data governance.

Recognize leadership in the area of PIMS Administration and Data Governance.

Recognize participation in DQN Meetings and the Data Quality Curriculums (DQC).
